Dennis is an accomplished writer with books ranging from children short stories to celebrity authorized memoirs. His literary voice is both honest and empathetic. Many in the business veer his work as a successor to the literary movement “New-Paperback.” His pending project with hip-hop icon “Parrish Smith” of EPMD have already sparked industry buzz.
In 2016 Dennis initiated and launched the "Pie in the Face Challenge." All proceeds for this challenge were donated to the Foundation of Autism Acceptance Worldwide. The goal of the movement was to create awareness of Autism worldwide in the hope of building towards acceptance. As the President of the Foundation of Autism Acceptance Worldwide and Autism Changes, Dennis received an award at Roger Neal’s Oscar viewing party in 2017. He also shared his message at Debra Durkin’s Ecoluxe Lounge at Sundance Film Festival 2017, Debra Durkin’s Ecoluxe Celebrity Gifting Lounge at 2018 Oscar’s, and Debra Durkin’s Ecoluxe Celebrity Lounge at the 2018 Emmy’s.
Dennis earned Teacher of the Year/Innovation in Education Award in 1995 from The Devereux Foundation. This award was given to Dennis for creating and implementing a model education program within the school. In 2001, 2002, and 2003, Dennis won the RFK Award at Anna Maria College. The RFK Award was presented from the students at Anna Maria College to honor Dennis' outstanding commitment to the students of Anna Maria College. In 2012, Dennis earned Anna Maria College' Young Alumnus Award. In 2022, Dennis received recognition at Anna Maria College for 25 years of Service.
